After we got used to Prague’s medieval streets and historic landmarks, we were ready to dive into a new day of discoveries. This time, our itinerary took us to some of the city’s most unique museums. It also offered us incredible views from above.
Starting the Day at the Astronomical Clock Tower

After another conference day, we ordered a Bolt that drove us near the Old Town square. I must say that we ordered Bolt rides 3 different times. Each time, the drivers were all Ukrainian and did not speak English very well (FYI).
Our second full day of exploring began with a climb up the Astronomical Clock Tower. We were fortunate enough to wait just 5 minutes until we climbed up. The panoramic view from the top was breathtaking. It offered an incredible perspective of Old Town Square and beyond.

Exploring Prague’s Unique Museums
Beer Museum
After descending from the tower, we made our way to the Beer Museum, a paradise for beer lovers. Czech beer has a long and rich history, and this museum did a great job of showcasing its evolution. We explored old brewing techniques. Additionally, we learned about the significance of beer in Czech culture and sampled a variety of local brews.
Sex Machines Museum
Next, we visited the Sex Machines Museum, a place unlike any other. This three-story museum displayed an eye-opening collection of historical and modern artifacts related to human sexuality. While certainly unconventional, the museum was both informative and entertaining. It shed light on how attitudes towards intimacy have evolved over time.
Museum of Optical Illusions

For something more interactive, we headed to the Museum of Optical Illusions. This was an incredibly fun stop and probably my favorite museum in Prague. It was filled with mind-bending exhibits and creative installations that played tricks on our eyes. From distorted mirrors to 3D murals, every room offered a new and exciting perspective.

Lunch at La Boca
We decided it was time to eat after visiting so many museums. Thus, we took a break for lunch at La Boca, a fantastic Spanish restaurant in the heart of Prague. We were really impressed with the food and the decorations. I really recommend it.
Gallery of Steel Figures

Our final museum visit of the day was the Gallery of Steel Figures, an amazing display of hand-crafted sculptures made entirely out of scrap metal. From life-sized superheroes to famous movie characters and cars, the attention to detail in these metal creations was impressive. The gallery was a great mix of art and engineering.
Dinner at El Gaucho Steakhouse

To end the day on a high note, we decided to eat at El Gaucho Steakhouse, which turned out to be one of the best meals we’ve ever had. The quality of the soup and steak that I ate was unmatched, cooked to perfection with incredible flavors. The elegant ambiance and impeccable service made the experience even more memorable. This cemented El Gaucho as a must-visit for any meat lover in Prague. I cannot highlight this enough. You must visit El Gaucho whenever you are in Prague.
Final Thoughts on Day 2 in Prague
Our second episode from Prague was filled with diverse experiences. We had historical perspectives at the Clock Tower and unusual and creative museum visits, all topped off with exceptional meals. Each place added something unique to our journey. It proved once again that Prague is a city that never ceases to amaze.
Part 3 is coming up with some funny stories as well as the last highlights of our Prague trip 😀
